Debate on a Member's Legislative Proposal - A Bill to strengthen food security

Today I have presented to the Welsh Parliament a proposal for the Welsh Government to make provisions for targets to strengthen food security in Wales.

I drew attention to the dire state of farming in Wales where issues like adverse weather and higher prices are making food production all that bit harder.

I also note the fact that one in five in Wales are struggling to eat properly.

Something needs to be done and the Welsh Government are failing to get a grip on the issue - we are heading for a food crisis!
