Janet Finch-Saunders, Member of the Welsh Parliament for Aberconwy was delighted to visit Wasabi Sushi Bar in Craig-y-Don on Friday last week.
The sushi takeaway has been set up and is run by a family who fled Ukraine following the onset of the war in their home country.
It opened in July of this year and has been a huge hit with locals.
Commenting on the visit Janet said:
“It was an absolute delight to visit Wasabi last Friday. The new takeaway is bringing fantastic and delicious fish to Craig-y-Don and Llandudno.
“The family that run it have sadly fled their home in Ukraine. However, they have found one here, bringing their expertise of making sushi which is extremely popular in Ukraine.
“I am pleased they have decided to come to Aberconwy where I know everyone has been making them feel welcome.
“As you can imagine they have been very popular, with many of us North Walians taking to their exquisite craftmanship.
“I just had to try some for myself, and yes I can confirm it lives up to the hype!”
