Mae Janet Finch-Saunders, yr Aelod o'r Senedd dros Aberconwy, wrth ei bodd fod Cymru wedi creu hanes drwy gyrraedd pencampwriaeth Ewro 2025 y Merched.

Wedi cymal cyntaf dynn yng Nghaerdydd, curodd Cymru Weriniaeth Iwerddon yn yr ail gymal, gan ennill eu lle yn Ewro 2025.

Wrth sôn am y newyddion, dywedodd Janet:

“Hoffwn i estyn llongyfarchiadau enfawr i Dîm Cenedlaethol Merched Cymru ar gyrraedd Ewro 2025 Merched UEFA.

“Mae'r cyflawniad pwysig hwn yn arwydd o'u penderfynoldeb, eu gwaith tîm a'u sgiliau rhagorol ar y cae.

“Ar ôl ymgyrch ragbrofol galed, gan gynnwys gêmau ail gyfle hynod gyffrous yn erbyn Gweriniaeth Iwerddon, dangosodd y tîm wydnwch ac angerdd, gan ennill eu lle yn haeddiannol ymhlith goreuon Ewrop.

“Mae eu llwyddiant yn adlewyrchu twf a datblygiad aruthrol pêl-droed merched yng Nghymru ac yn ysbrydoliaeth i chwaraewyr a chefnogwyr ledled y wlad.

“Mae'r cyflawniad hanesyddol hwn yn ganlyniad ymroddiad nid yn unig gan y chwaraewyr ond hefyd gan y staff hyfforddi, timau cymorth a phawb sy'n gweithio y tu ôl i'r llenni. Mae'n dangos yr hyn y gellir ei gyflawni drwy undod, gwaith caled a chred.

“Llongyfarchiadau unwaith eto i'r garfan gyfan—Diolch yn fawr am wneud Cymru'n falch!”
