Transport for Wales have been thanked for commencing a process of reviewing the timetable for trains running along the Conwy Valley Railway Line.
The praise comes from Janet Finch-Saunders, Member of the Welsh Parliament for Aberconwy, who undertook a paper an online survey of residents in the Conwy Valley, and met with both Mr Lee Robinsion, Executive Director for Regional Transport and Integration, TfW, and Tad (Father) Deiniol, pastor of All Saints of Wales Orthodox Church in Blaenau Ffestiniog, to make the case for change.
TfW is now seeking feedback from passengers and stakeholders on a proposed new train timetable for the line, with changes planned to take effect from December 2026. They are keen to understand whether the revised timetable meets the needs of customers and how it could be improved to better serve local communities.
The engagement period will run from Monday 13 October 2025 to Friday 28 November 2025.
You can express your views by completing the survey online, or attending an in-person Stakeholder Engagement Session.
Commenting on the review, Janet said:
“I would like to thank Transport for Wales, and especially Lee Robinson, for listening and taking action.
“As Lee knows, hundreds have responded to my survey asking for change, and as such, I am delighted that a new timetable has been proposed.
“I encourage as many as possible to engage with this positive process because ultimately it will result in a rail service which better suits our community.”
