Yesterday, doctors and nurses gathered outside the Senedd to call for an end to corridor care in the NHS.
Members of both the BMA and RCN stood together in a united effort to highlight the urgent need to end this dangerous practice in Wales.
The demonstration coincided with a Senedd debate on the RCN’s petition, which urges immediate action to stop corridor care — a system that puts patients at risk and places unbearable pressure on already overstretched staff.
Janet commented:
“I was proud to stand alongside our doctors, nurses, and healthcare professionals at the Senedd yesterday as they called for an end to corridor care. Their commitment to patient safety and their determination to speak out for a safer, fairer NHS is commendable, and they deserve our full support.
Seeing members of the BMA and RCN united in their message was powerful. Corridor care is unsafe for patients and deeply unfair on the hardworking staff who are already under immense pressure.
I will continue to support their calls for urgent action and will keep pressing for the changes our NHS desperately needs.”
