On Friday, Janet Finch-Saunders, Member of the Welsh Parliament for Bangor, Conwy and Môn, attended the launch of the new Friends of Llandudno Hospital charity at Llandudno Hospital.
The charity aims to improve the well-being of patients and their families, support hospital staff, and assist those working in the medical and social care sectors within our community.
Janet commented:
“Firstly, I would like to thank and congratulate Sarah Lesiter-Burgess, Trustee, Ian Beirne, Chair and the Friends of Llandudno Hospital team for inviting me to the launch of the charity. It was a pleasure to meet with the charity alongside, hospital managers, Cllr Alan Davies and Deputy Mayor Cllr Angie O Grady.
“It is essential that patients and our vital healthcare providers feel listened to and supported. Being unwell and waiting for treatment can be a stressful experience, and knowing where to turn for help and support is essential.
Janet added:
“I welcome the launch of the Friends of Llandudno Hospital charity and the positive difference it hopes to make to patients, their families and hospital staff. Supporting our local hospital and the people who rely on its services is vital to ensuring our community continues to receive the care and support it deserves.”

Meddai Janet:

Roedd hi’n bleser cwrdd â'r elusen, ochr yn ochr â rheolwyr yr ysbyty, y Cynghorydd Alan Davies a'r Dirprwy Faer, y Cynghorydd Angie O Grady.
"Mae'n hanfodol bod cleifion a'n darparwyr gofal iechyd hanfodol yn teimlo eu bod yn cael eu clywed a'u cefnogi. Mae bod yn sâl ac aros am driniaeth yn gallu bod yn brofiad llawn straen, ac mae gwybod ble i droi am help a chefnogaeth yn hanfodol.
Ychwanegodd Janet:
"Rwy'n croesawu lansiad elusen Cyfeillion Ysbyty Llandudno a'r gwahaniaeth cadarnhaol y mae'n gobeithio ei wneud i gleifion, eu teuluoedd a staff yr ysbyty. Mae cefnogi ein hysbyty lleol a'r bobl sy'n dibynnu ar ei wasanaethau yn hanfodol i sicrhau bod ein cymuned yn parhau i gael y gofal a'r gefnogaeth y mae'n ei haeddu."
