Janet Finch-Saunders AM was delighted to meet the family team at Snowdonia Nurseries in Glan Conwy. Having seen the new café, and the enormous effort going into every product on display or for sale, the Member has hailed this horticultural centre as a fine example of how small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) make an invaluable contribution to our economy.
Janet said:
“The importance of SMEs to the Welsh economy is well known as they make up 99.9% of private sector business in Wales.
“It was fantastic to see how the nurseries are investing more in the economy by opening a new look café.
“During my visit I really saw first-hand how yet another private business in Aberconwy is going to huge lengths to offer excellent products and customer service.
“For example, I was fortunate enough to see the family team working on their renowned Christmas grotto: creating a dazzling display more akin to a family home than a shop!
“It is this family and team spirit behind the business that impressed me the most, and why I am committed to supporting Aberconwy and Wales’ SMEs so that they have a stable future”.
