A Which UK survey has recently ranked Llandudno as the second best seaside resort in the country. This news has been warmly welcomed by the Member of the Welsh Parliament for Aberconwy, Janet Finch-Saunders.
Commenting on the news Janet said:
“I am truly delighted that the continued hard work, dedication and commitment of retailers, hoteliers and the entire tourism and hospitality industry in Llandudno has now been recognised by Which.
“Throughout the challenges of the pandemic these hard-working businesses continued to invest and innovate in preparation for the return of holiday makers. It is clear from the results of this survey that their efforts have paid off.
“While Llandudno has always been the Queen of Welsh Resorts, I am truly overjoyed to see an organisation as well trusted by consumers as Which now also recognised our town.
“With the newly opened Llandudno Tourism and Innovation Hub supporting local businesses develop the industry locally and with residents working with me to call for the Welsh Government to commit to returning sand to our North Shore beach, I am confident that next year’s survey may see Llandudno clinch first place.”
Yn ddiweddar, enwodd arolwg gan Which UK Llandudno fel yr ail gyrchfan glan môr gorau yn y wlad. Croesawyd y newyddion hwn gan Janet Finch-Saunders, yr Aelod o’r Senedd dros Aberconwy.
Gan roi sylwadau ar y newyddion, dywedodd Janet:
“Rwy’n falch iawn bod Which wedi rhoi cydnabyddiaeth i waith caled, ymroddiad ac ymrwymiad manwerthwyr, gwestywyr a’r holl ddiwydiant twristiaeth a lletygarwch yn Llandudno.
“Gydol heriau’r pandemig, daliodd y busnesau gweithgar hyn ati i fuddsoddi ac arloesi wrth baratoi ar gyfer ailagor eu drysau i ymwelwyr. Mae’n amlwg o ganlyniadau’r arolwg hwn bod eu gwaith wedi talu ar ei ganfed.
“Er bod Llandudno wedi hen ennill ei phlwyf fel Brenhines Cyrchfannau Cymru, rwyf ar ben fy nigon yn gweld sefydliad fel Which, sydd mor bwysig o ran ymddiriedaeth defnyddwyr, yn cydnabod ein tref hefyd.
“Gyda’r Hwb Arloesi Llandudno ar gyfer Twristiaeth newydd yn cefnogi busnesau lleol i ddatblygu’r diwydiant yn lleol a gyda phreswylwyr yn gweithio gyda minnau i alw ar Lywodraeth Cymru i ymrwymo i ddod â thywod yn ôl i Draeth y Gogledd, rwy’n hyderus y gallai Llandudno fod ar frig yr arolwg y flwyddyn nesaf.”
