Aberconwy MS visits Social Enterprise Prom Ally

Having provided prom dresses and suits to over 100 individuals in 2019, the Member of the Welsh Parliament for Aberconwy – Janet Finch-Saunders – has visited Prom Ally on Madoc Street to discuss their ongoing good work in the community.

Commenting after visiting the social enterprise, Janet said:

“No young person should miss out on such a momentous occasion and celebration in their life. This is why Prom Ally’s continued work is so important. Having already provided dresses and suits to hundreds of individuals, it is sadly expected that many more people will rely on this organisation in years to come

“The store on Madoc Street, which I was pleased to visit recently, sells ball gowns and suits, not only giving these stunning clothes a new lease of life but the profits from their sale are diverted to continue Prom Ally’s charitable work.

“Given this, I am proud to support this incredible local social enterprise and would encourage residents to come out and support this inspirational organisation which continues to make a difference to so many lives across our community. The purchase or donation of a single item will support this organisation’s ongoing good work and have a meaningful positive impact on the life of a young person in North Wales.”

Ar ôl ymweld â'r fenter gymdeithasol, dywedodd Janet:

“Ni ddylai unrhyw berson ifanc golli allan ar achlysur a dathliad mor bwysig yn ei fywyd. Dyna pam mae gwaith parhaus Prom Ally mor bwysig. Ar ôl darparu ffrogiau a siwtiau i gannoedd o unigolion eisoes, y ffaith drist amdani yw y bydd llawer mwy o bobl yn dibynnu ar y sefydliad hwn yn y blynyddoedd i ddod.

“Cefais y fraint o ymweld â'r siop ar Stryd Madog yn ddiweddar, sy'n gwerthu ffrogiau parti a siwtiau. Yn ogystal â rhoi bywyd newydd i'r gwisgoedd godidog hyn, mae elw o'u gwerthiant yn cael ei ddargyfeirio i barhau â gwaith elusennol Prom Ally.

“O ystyried hyn, rwy'n falch o gefnogi'r fenter gymdeithasol leol anhygoel hon a byddwn yn annog trigolion i ddod i gefnogi'r sefydliad ysbrydoledig hwn sy'n parhau i wneud gwahaniaeth i gymaint o fywydau ar draws ein cymuned. Bydd prynu neu roi un eitem yn cefnogi gwaith da parhaus y sefydliad hwn ac yn cael effaith gadarnhaol ystyrlon ar fywyd person ifanc yma yn y Gogledd."
