Janet Finch-Saunders, Member of the Welsh Parliament for Aberconwy, extends her heartfelt congratulations to the communities across Aberconwy and North Wales for their spirited and diverse celebrations of St David's Day.

These events not only honour the patron saint of Wales but also strengthen community bonds and showcase the rich cultural heritage of the region.

Commenting on the day, Janet said:

“It was wonderful to see St David’s Day celebrations in full swing across the Conwy Valley. The Daffodil Festival in Ty’n y Groes filled the village with colour and culture, while Llanrwst’s bustling fair brought people together in true community spirit.

“Llandudno also showcased its cultural richness in style. The Llandudno Town Band’s concert was a real highlight, filling the air with traditional Welsh music.

“I was also pleased to see local businesses, such as The Imperial Hotel and The Marine Hotel, embracing the celebrations with special menus and decorations, creating warm and welcoming spaces for both locals and visitors. It’s this kind of community spirit that makes St David’s Day so special.

"The collective efforts of our communities in celebrating St David's Day highlight the enduring spirit and cultural pride of North Wales. The Prince of Wales's dedication to learning Welsh further exemplifies a heartfelt commitment to our nation's heritage.

“Together, these endeavours enrich our society and inspire future generations to cherish and uphold our traditions."

ENDS

Mae Janet Finch-Saunders, Aelod o Senedd Cymru dros Aberconwy, yn estyn ei llongyfarchiadau calonnog i'r cymunedau ledled Aberconwy a Gogledd Cymru am eu dathliadau bywiog ac amrywiol ar Ddydd Gŵyl Dewi.

Mae'r digwyddiadau hyn nid yn unig yn anrhydeddu nawddsant Cymru ond yn cryfhau cysylltiadau cymunedol ac yn arddangos treftadaeth ddiwylliannol gyfoethog y rhanbarth hefyd .

Wrth sôn am y diwrnod, dywedodd Janet:

"Roedd hi'n hyfryd gweld dathliadau Dydd Gŵyl Dewi ar eu hanterth ar draws Dyffryn Conwy. Fe wnaeth yr Ŵyl Cennin Pedr yn Nhŷ'n y Groes lenwi'r pentref gyda lliw a diwylliant, tra bod ffair brysur Llanrwst wedi dod â phobl at ei gilydd mewn gwir ysbryd cymunedol.

"Bu Llandudno’n arddangos ei chyfoeth diwylliannol mewn steil hefyd. Roedd cyngerdd Band Tref Llandudno yn uchafbwynt go iawn, gan lenwi'r awyr gyda cherddoriaeth Gymreig draddodiadol.

"Roeddwn yn falch hefyd o weld busnesau lleol, fel Gwesty’r Imperial a Gwesty’r Marine, yn mynd ati i ddathlu gyda bwydlenni ac addurniadau arbennig, gan greu mannau cynnes a chroesawgar i bobl leol ac ymwelwyr. Y math yma o ysbryd cymunedol sy'n gwneud Dydd Gŵyl Dewi mor arbennig.

"Mae ymdrechion cyfunol ein cymunedau i ddathlu Dydd Gŵyl Dewi yn tynnu sylw at ysbryd parhaus a balchder diwylliannol Gogledd Cymru. Mae ymroddiad Tywysog Cymru i ddysgu Cymraeg yn enghraifft bellach o ymrwymiad o'r galon i dreftadaeth ein cenedl.

Gyda'i gilydd, mae'r ymdrechion hyn yn cyfoethogi ein cymdeithas ac yn ysbrydoli cenedlaethau'r dyfodol i goleddu a chynnal ein traddodiadau."
